GRACELAND

The Graceland Connection October 27, 2016 marked the opening of Graceland’s ®  new, world-class, 450-room resort, The Guest House at Graceland™. Priscilla Presley joined Graceland executives to cut the “blue suede ribbon” to signify the official opening for the $92million luxury property. Inspired by Elvis’ personal style and the iconic Graceland Mansion, The Guest House at Graceland is the most significant enhancement to Graceland since it opened to the public in 1982, and the largest hotel project in Memphis in over 90 years. The resort hotel, which is situated just steps from Graceland Mansion, features 430 guest rooms and 20 specialty suites with design and décor supervised by Priscilla Presley. Suites Inspired By Elvis’ Palm Springs Home We, at Honeymoon Hideaway, were thrilled to learn that TWO of the “Upstairs” suites were inspired by Elvis’ Palm Springs home on Ladera Circle. Named after Elvis’ beloved parents, the Vernon and Gladys suites feature natural hues of terra cotta and gold and a custom, serpentine sofa, showcasing a mid-century flair. Watch Priscilla’s interview with Jenna Bush on the TODAY show where Priscilla looks at the Palm Springs home’s signature serpentine couch and states, "I can actually see my parents sitting here, my brother, my sister, him [Elvis], myself, his father.... sprawled out all over the couch." Jenna replies, "So it brings back good memories" to which Priscilla responds, "Yeah, it does".  Here’s how the official website at The Guest House at Graceland describes the two suites. Vernon and Gladys' Suites Named after Elvis’ beloved parents, the two exclusive one-bedroom Vernon & Gladys’ Suites, also located Upstairs, are inspired by Elvis’ Palm Springs home and feature natural hues of terra cotta and gold and a custom, serpentine sofa, showcasing a mid-century flair.
